Visited the pub for lunch on a friend's recommendation. The pub is situated in a nice area with a small car park available was quiet when I visited so no problem but it could get busy easy. Lovely terrace out back and even outside seating out the front also. Inside is decorated nicely and a good country pub feel. Staff greeted us and are very friendly, we enjoyed a three course lunch where all the food was fantastic, good hearty pub classics at a very high standard. Recommend stopping in for a pint and a bite to eat to any passing tourists!
A lot of noise from the bar until late. Maybe a good idea to ask residents if they require a table for an evening meal on arrival instead of asking have you reserved a table when residents go into the bar for a meal. Breakfast good ,possibly serve earlier. Made welcome by staff.
Great overall. The landlords are very welcoming and all members of staff were great. Rooms are a good size and value overall. The food is a little bit on the expensive side but the atmosphere is brilliant.
Very good food price and service. Not quite 5 stars but only just. Good beer. We are going back so that says it all.
What a hidden gem! Fabulous, quirky pub. I love the beer garden - beautiful planting and water features. Grapes growing above us are just ripening. Great staff - very friendly and efficient. Extra cold guiness is a winner every time. And the chicken and bacon warm salad was amazing.Service: 5/5
Very welcoming. Rooms very clean, warm and comfortable. Food excellent, especially the breakfast. Staff extremely accommodating and friendly.
Loved it here. Our room was really spacious and everything in it completely met our needs. The shower was great and the bed king size and comfortable. The owners and staff were really friendly and helpful and the food excellent. Reece I think that was his name was so welcoming when we arrived and looked after us each evening of our stay really well. Great location. We definitely recommend this place.
Can't fault the care of the team here, really nice folks keen to give a good time. Nice selection of beer, and really good food. The Cajun spiced fillet of beef with blue cheese sauce is an absolute knock-out. As was their cheese board. Lovely outside terrace too. Highly recommended.
As always when we come here we had the best time, amazing food, perfect service and the most beautiful setting.
We love to visit this pub as it offers a traditional pub drinking area, outside terrace and dining room with a great atmosphere. The food is always fresh and the pies and roasts are delicious especially the gravy . Martyn the landlord and his wife know how to run a pub and always make us feel welcome. The beer and wines are also excellent. We are lucky to have pubs like this still around. They have worked hard to overcome the challenges of the past few years so please pop in and support them, even if it's for a quick drink.
