Really nice, friendly and very good food. Not expensive. Very attractive service personnel and well worth a return visit. Apologies for my photo quality on this revue.
We were sent here by Richard, the director of a local company where we had gone for a meeting. Probably the cleanest pub toilets I have ever seen. The lovely waitress served us efficiently and it wasn’t long before another friendly lady brought out our food. We have never previously experienced cheesy chips with gravy, but it was a good experience. 3 plates, 4 drinks, all for £22. Definitely better than London prices.
Had bucket of chips. Chips hot, dish roasting but gravy stone cold which made chips underneath stone cold. Returned and got nuclear bowl of food. Left 90% of it. Nice and friendly service. Area clean, not too busy. Plenty of parking outside. Lovely sitting outside next to canal
Food is nice and ample amounts. Staff are friendly. Lovely garden to sit out in. Staff work really hard and make youbfeel very welcome .
We went on Christmas Day , a table of nine. The food was amazing , the best Christmas dinner I’ve ever had. The service was brilliant , the staff couldn’t do enough for you. Would highly recommend ! Well done all thanks for a lovely Christmas meal and warm welcome.
Tried one of the specials on the menu had to return it as was cold. Returned back and it was badly burnt, garlic bread wasn't toasted at all lacking flavour and taste. Too much seasoning in my main and so much salt, although I didn't like it and refused to eat it I was happy to be refunded back for my main meal...
A pleasant pub in an off the main roads location. It is situated next to the canal and seemed very popular with locals and canal boaters alike. We arrived 10 minutes before they were closing the kitchen as they had organised a bbq and entertainment, but were welcomed in by the staff. We had a lovely meal in a great environment. The staff were attentive and the food was lovely and reasonably priced. If your passing I would recommend popping in for a drink or bite to eat.
Excellent Christmas Day meal, food was lovely and the staff were excellent. Would recommend to all my friends
Truly the most bizarre pub I've ever visited. Walked to it and was warned by a local that we would hear it before we saw it. Correct. Ordered a two drinks, only got one until the third time of asking and the 4th time walking up and down the bar. Ordered food and never forgot it until an hour later when staff realised. Did get a round of drinks free. Staff were nice but probably needed an extra pair of hands as it seemed every man and his dog was there. The table numbers don't matter because staff will walk around the tables until someone shouts that's my dinner. It was entertaining
3 years ago my review was 5 stars, sadly I have had to update it based on how poor the service and the food is now with the limited, overpriced menu since pandemic. Pictured are 2 of the 'nibbles' : 1- honey & mustard sausages, we were served 4 pieces which were HALF the size of a cocktail sausage! 2 - halloumi bites, not even 5 tiny cubes each, didn't even half fill the pot it was served in. The burgers were fine although there was no mention of cheese on the menu, both burgers arrived with cheese, luckily was not an issue Chips were cold, but that's probably because we watched the waitress walk around to every single table outside multiple times because she didn't have a clue what the table numbers were and must have thought wondering around was the best approach. Service was slow, even though we're told there was no wait, it was still 1 hour. One of the drinks ordered was Orange Juice and Lemonade, but we were served orange cordial and lemonade instead both times, second time I watched as they reached directly over the orange juice to the bottle of cordial.
