The squirrels

We had family event there. The service was brilliant and the food was a good quality, served in same time for nearly 20 people! Well done chef and well done all the front house staff! You do really good job over there! What I liked and was surprised with - there was a "first aid toiletries box" in ladies bathroom! Good stuff.

Visited for the first time this week - newly decorated and food was nice and good value. However, the staff need a lesson in customer service as not welcoming, friendly or helpful. Especially the manager ..... a smile goes a long way !! Entertaining though as I don't think I have ever visited a pub with such miserable staff !

I visit the Squirrels every month for their Disco Bingo nights! Not to be missed. Always have dinner whilst there and the food is always delicious and fresh. All bar staff have been friendly and welcoming upon each visit. Such a lovely pub at the heart of the village.

Visited yesterday lunchtime and must say the renovations are great, service is quick and prices are good. We were a party of four and two of my party ordered the £12.49 size fish and chips. The batter on the fish looked appetizing when served, but the fish was awful and actually very wet, sloppy and looked grey in colour, although it was supposed to be Cod. When we were discussing whether we should eat or return it, the waiter who was clearing the table next to us rudely interrupted us and said the chef never served undercooked food so there's no problem with it. So thanks to the waiter we ate the fish and guess who had the bad stomachs a few hours later??

Had a roast dinner at The Squirrels with my partner a few Sundays back and it was lovely. Really nice atmosphere and delicious food. Just as we were leaving the live singer was doing her soundcheck and she sounded great, if we didn’t have somewhere to be we definitely would’ve hung around and enjoyed the show!

Visited the squirrel pub Saturday for a beautiful craft event … wow that a stunning pub amazing staff the best pub food I’ve had in a long time and a truly beautifully renovated pub , clean and tidy so accommodating the pub itself is so inviting lots of areas all as stunning as each other , we will definitely be regulars family friendly and definitely worth a visit.

Friendly and welcoming atmosphere, recently refitted, with a fabulous outdoor area. Menus are varied, catering for all tastes and very well priced. Live music which is a great touch! Highly recommend a visit.

I wasn't overly keen on the food. i can see a lot of potential in it as a drinking venue when the outdoor space is renovated

Our Moving Together class attended Christmas lunch last Wednesday. We all had an enjoyable time with delicious food .. definitely recommend the Squirrels and can’t wait to go again - thank you guys
