Lovely pub interiors and exteriors. The gardens are very modern and lots of room for dogs and children. Cute duck pond too. It’s great for sunshine as it’s west facing with epic sunsets over the fields. It would have been 5 stars but the food was very average. We ordered the top steak which was very cheap meat in my opinion. Not cooked very well either. My partners pie looked nice but lacked flavour. Hopefully it was an off day for them. With better quality ingredients and better food this place could be amazing.
Arrived at the end of our Canal holiday with our two dogs and the waitress kindly found us a table despite the busyness. Lovely meal to round off the holiday and thanks to the pub for accommodating us so well.
Wow what a lovley place love the little welcoming touches everywere even your 4 legged friends can join you for the evening very clean an tidy through out staff lovey and friendley plenty of out side seating in lovley out door space would deffo recomend a visit would have given more stars if allowed best pub i been to in a while
Popped in on a Sunday afternoon to see if we could get a roast. Thought we would struggle to get a table, but we were given a lovely shady spot in the garden. Service was quick and the food was delicious!
Group of four for a birthday Sunday roast. My partner had been here for his work Christmas Dinner and said it was fantastic so we decided to try it. It was absolutely scrummy. The portions were really generous and the food was delicious. The staff are really friendly. The decor is really cosy and the tables are well spaced apart which is brilliant. Highly recommended!
The best steak pie ever, served with good selection of veg, gravy and chips served on a hot dinner plate, good sized portions. Loved the chocolate brownie and coffee served together as a dessert. Super friendly staff, excellent service and quality of food 10/10
Food really good. Very busy good atmosphere. Looks like they are building a new team Much better than another local chef and brewer that we visited recently
Beautiful garden, especially at sunset, plenty of space, heaters in designated area, cracking beers and Gin menu, lovely service from the team. We love going here.
Thursday evening we went for a family meal. We been greeted by the door informed about one way system and left with menus. Then all evening our waitress was Rhiannon, she was so lovely and so helpful that she made this dinner one of the best of the year. She asked after every course: are you happy with your meals ? But on the bad note food did disappointed us a little. We ordered two sharing starters and Camembert was cold in the middle, other starter wasn't gret. Then our mains were nice, way better than the starter. I had battered haloumi, it was good, but that tasteless fish batter on it wasn't nice at all. Desserts were nice, but unfortunately they didn't have 3 desserts of the menu. All in all service was lovely but I wouldn't come for food any time soon.
Arrived for a birthday lunch on a Friday as was told that they are not serving food, albeit I saw many others being served lunch. Apparently 2 out of 3 chefs were off and a wake was being held later that day. We stayed and had 2 very over priced drinks and was offered bar snacks which I was informed were nuts and crisps, no thankyou. The staff were friendly enough though. We had walked there and were no other places locally to the Greyhound so we walked home hungry. I understand from others that chef issues is common. This was my very first visit and would probably not go again or advise others too. A real shame.
