Story

The Wellington
Welcome to the Wellington,
a traditional Old Portsmouth kitchen lounge bar.

Having learnt the trade in our family business,
the renowned Murrays Restaurant in Southsea, and provided catering at many of the landmark attractions in Portsmouth,
such as HMS Warrior, HMS Victory, the Square Tower, Southsea Castle and the Royal Marines Museum, I wanted to bring over 30 years of experience to my own pub and restaurant.

We are constantly working on new ideas to evolve the menu to give our customers more choice and variety. We aim to change our menu to reflect seasonal variations and hopefully maintain your interest. If there is a dish you would like that is not on the menu, please advise and we will do all we can to accommodate.

We are passionate about food and supporting local businesses to source our ingredients. All our dishes are freshly prepared using
seasonal produce to bring you good quality home cooked food.

Our brunch menu is now being served:

daily from 11.00am until 6.00pm.

Our dinner rmenu is being served daily from 7.00pm until 10.00pm, (Sundays from 6.00pm)

Portsmouth is a busy town, many pubs and restaurants booked solid on Saturday. Came to this pub, bigger place so it had more tables yet perfectly distance. Fantastic service, food and price. Highly recommend.
Really nice pub. I had the chicken pie, which was great. Camden Hells lager. 4 of us enjoyed our meals.
I booked 6 nights at their place. They were closed. Phone not answering. They were listed as first choice by agoda and were still listed as non refundable booking.
Perfect service. Gorgeous venue. Amazing food. And the live music was brilliant. Will definitely be returning.
Nice environment, classic but modern pub serving good selection of food. Good portions and very tasty. Weird service, probably not used to table service but it was not a problem.
A very cosy pub, the lady behind the bar not sure if she was the landlandy was such a lovley woman! I recommend anyone to go here
