The person I spoke to in there was rude and it made it feel like you were wasting his time by going in.  I wanted to get a new battery and see if something could be done about a bit of condensation inside.  He tried to open the watch and couldn't. I was told there nothing that could be done.  After a few Google searches and £11 spent on amazon for some tools and a battery, I got my watch back to good as new.  Go anywhere else. I wish I had checked the reviews before wasting my time.

Excellent value and courteous service. After reading some negative reviews I was very pleasantly surprised by my experience today. Charged £34 to replace my Omega Seamaster battery all completed in less than 60 minutes. Was quoted £65 at InTime Poole so very pleased with result.

I have no idea how this shop is still open, the old guy inside is charging arm and leg for what he does and if there is something he cant do his attitude is just so low. If you walk approximately 200m down the hill you can get much better service. The watch shop is a waste of time..

I took my TAG Heuer into this shop to have a new battery fitted. I was told the cost would be £29.99 as it needed to be pressure tested. I agreed even though a little pricey, and  returned an hour later as requested.   Immediately I was told that the dial on my watch was broken. I was shocked and asked him how it had happened I was expecting him to apologize and offer to repair it but he immediately became extremely aggressive and defensive and started shouting at the top of his voice that he'd been in the business for 50 years maybe it's time to retire?? and to contact a solicitor if I wasn't happy! There was no reasoning with him and I had no alternative but to tell him to remove the battery he had the nerve to try and charge me for it! and leave with a broken watch. I wish I'd read the reviews before I ventured into this shop . This man should not be in business as he clearly hasn't a clue about the most basic of watch repairs and most certainly has no idea of good customer  service. Maybe Trading Standards should be informed as there seems to be a pattern forming here. AVOID  at all costs

We’ve used this shop for years, he knows his watches and always does a great job, replaced the battery in my TAG, far cheaper than TAG themselves and within 30 mins. Thank you.

Went in to inquire about a replacement battery and the owner who served me was incredibly rude.  I had been a little nervous and wanted to be sure that in order to get to it they weren't going to scratch the bottom of the watch, as I'd had this happen to me before with another shop. He immediately jumped on the attack and acted like I had killed his first born.  I immediately left as it was developing into a shouting match after I told him I didn't appreciate his tone.  Would not recommend!

I went in and asked for a battery replacement. He took the watch and asked me to go away and wait somewhere else basically, he wouldn't let me wait in the shop while it's been repaired and still he did it out of site in a stupid box he had behind the counter. A day later, it went flat and I returned it and requested a replacement battery and the same thing happened again, with the same outcome. For the third try, I went to the watch repairer in Beales the basement and he fitted a new battery for me and confirmed the one inside was old. The watch has now worked fine, ever since.

I have known David and his wife for over 15 years. I have found them polite, knowledgeable and professional and David has always gone the "extra mile" to help solve any And many issues I have had with both clocks and watches. None bought from him - I might add! Some of the reviews below puzzle me. If you want bad customer service from a watch shop at ridiculous prices then try a quite well known one in the Arcade at Westover Road! If you want someone who knows his trade then try David.

I've been buying and having watches repaired by David and his wife at this shop for 25 years. I have always found him to be very courteous and willing to help. He went way out of his way to repair a very old gold watch belonging to my mother and every time I visit the shop he openly makes me feel very welcome, no matter how much time has elapsed since the last.... sometimes it has been years. I wouldn't dream of going to anyone else.

I went in to buy a watch strap for my watch and I had and I politely asked him to see if he had a strap that would fit and he rudely said ''NO'', after the unsuccessful encounter I had a look in the cabinet at the straps and there were loads and loads that would blatantly fit my watch and then I had a look at the other watches and they were all far too much money anyway so avoid this shop at all cost! Im 15 years old and because of my age he was watching me like an eagle the whole time and I felt uneasy the whole time. for the love of your life! avoid Satan's watch shop at all cost!
