What a great gem! Best licensed guest house. Leaves many hotels in its wake. Even without draught beer, there's nothing I can say highly enough of. Recommended for everything. Alison is a wonderful host. Check-in and check-out we're simple and quick. Room was immaculate and had brilliant bathroom. Bed was extremely comfortable. Good selection of drinks to enjoy while watching big screen TV. Breakfast was fabulous. Porridge cooked in traditional way with water and salt. Scottish breakfast was excellent and plentiful. Exceedingly good value for money. Customer service at its best. Although there is no evening meal, you can order in or eat before you arrive. Will definitely be back.
Stayed here for one night while making my way back home. The newly refurbished room is spot on trend with the sparkly walls in the shower. Food is very good and the host is very welcoming as is the dog. Yes I recommend. Enjoy your travels.

Fabulous place, friendly host. Great clean rooms and a nice shower and bathroom, generous breakfast, fab price, Nicely stocked bar. Overall one of the best B&B I have ever experienced. Actually, I cannot remember better!
We had an overnight stay at The Village Inn Kirtlebridge and I would highly recommend this as a B&B. Alison was great, she provided a warm relaxed home away from home. The room was spacious and homely and the bed was very comfortable too. Alison also provided a very good breakfast and she was great company. Would definitely visit her again.
We had a lovely welcome from Alison. Our dogs were made to feel very welcome too. The food was excellent with vegetarian and vegan options better than a recent trip to a London restaurant! and the wine choice was great. Rooms were lovely with literally everything you could need in them plus a nice shower with good water pressure. Would recommend.
Absolutely amazing. Alison is just the best host. Nothing is too much trouble for her. She made it feel like home from home from when we walked in. The rooms were spotless, and the shower was one of the best I have had in a hotel. Her home cooking is extremely tasty with great portions. Breakfast great, and very dog friendly if you need to bring your dog's. Thanks so much Rusty & Ed x
Alison is a great host. Room has been recently refurbished and just feels brand new and comfortable. Breakfast was great and her Haggis is really tasty. Would recommend anyone to stay over.Rooms: 5/5
Loved staying in family room, it was spacious for 4 of us, well equipped and spotless! Had a good night sleep. Breakfast was tasty. Would come again if in the area. Was a handy and enjoyable stop on our way to England from Scotland.Rooms: 5/5
I couldn't have asked for a better stay after coming off the ferry from Belfast and a 100 mile drive on the motorbike with my son on the back. The host was very friendly and accomodating. The rooms were very clean and there was even a tea cake with the coffee and kettle, copious amounts of milk cartons and a decent TV. The breakfast was plentiful, varied and delicious. Highly recommend staying here.
