It's an old fashioned hotel and a bit basic although comfortable. No disabled access as the reception is up a flight of steep stairs.nThe room was not large but absolutely fine. View of air conditioning units out the window left a lot to be desired! Bathroom and shower also fine.nCooked breakfast was very good but choices other than that non-existent except for an array of Kellogg's cereals. If I was staying longer than the one night I would not have breakfast here.nEuropean visitors would find the breakfast very limited.nLoud noise from the function suite on my 1st floor but abated by 10.30 or so.nIt has a car park but was full on my visit - no reserved spaces for hotel visitors. Parking in the street is fine though.nStaff were absolutely lovely.

I visited Corner House hotel to have a meal and a hot beverage not for a hotel stay so I cannot comment on the rooms, the hotel though old in appearance and decor is I my opinion a delightful old worldly comfortable homely feeling establishment with a relaxed cosy atmosphere, it was clean and airy, the staff were friendly helpful and polite, the food,drinks menus are varied with a decent selection of hit and cold options to chose from and they also offer light bites/ children meals, the prices are competitive and the coffee I had was the best I have been served in a long time and it came in coffee pit that helped to retain its heat until i was ready to pour, i would highly recommend a visit to Corner House and i will be making a return visit when i am next in the area
Stayed here for one night on business. The room was large but very basic and the bathroom facilities were not the best but clean and tidy. Wi-fi service was very poor which was frustrating when trying to work. The place does not serve dinner so we had to go elsewhere. However the hotel gets an extra star for the breakfast which was excellent. Very generous portions, piping hot and absolutely delicious. The best Lorne sausage I've ever had. I was in the North West of England and Scotland for business and the location was pretty close to the M74 which was very convenient.
Recently had our wedding reception here and honestly couldn’t be happier with the service and staff went above and beyond in every way! Lovely room and really affordable. Highly recommend.
