The Victoria & Albert

About

We are a sizzling pub (M&B) set in the heart of Southsea at the top of Albert road. We have a range of amazing deals both on drink and food.

Story

Welcome to The Victoria & Albert
Excellent value pub in Southsea

After a stroll down the seafront or a shopping session at Gunwharf Quays, there's always time for a break at The Victoria & Albert.

The Victoria & Albert used to be the police station before it became a pub - originally called the Fuzz & Firkin. Now we're back to a traditional name with service and value to match. Our heartily portioned pub-food attracts students and pensioners alike, who all enjoy our atmosphere and a bit of banter over a pint of well-kept cask ale or lager. Our big pub garden is packed on summer evenings and has heaters for when there's a nip in the air.

We offer:

- Three regional real ales

- Deals on food & drink

- DJ every Friday and other events

- Sky Sports

The building is full of histories. The performance in the Chapel with all its surroundings give audiences such a wonderful experience.
I was in this lovely venue for a concert. It was a little difficult to find because signage was lacking. Give yourself extra time to locate the chapel - which is on the second floor. Tip: Just look up to see the stained glass from the ground level.
Such a beautiful building with period details including ornate railings and stained glass windows. Only one tiny elevator, and no washrooms on main floor.
Great courtyard to enjoy a picnic on. Also, the spot is super secluded so it is a nice getaway from the noise during the summer. Lots of nature trees to photograph if you're a nature lover
Beautiful architecture and good place to relax!
Cloth upholstered seats, some of which were stained and a concern as bedbugs are spread through this type of seating. Blinding sun shine through stain glass windows made it difficult to see the presenter and the presentation on the screen.
Beautiful space to have unwind. Usually quite. Has benches without tables. Not ideal for large gatherings/picnics.
Came here for a choir concert recently. It was a very nice venue; my only complaint is that I could hear it every time a chair moved anywhere in the venue.
Overpriced and busy. Never sure why it is because there's tons of options around. Never found their menu to be intriguing in the slightest and the $$ leaves me wanting more.
Very beautiful. No place to get food though.
