Our dog Jack has been a patient at the Vet in St.Margarets for the last 5 years and Jo and the team have provided a fantastic service. He's needed 2 complex operations over that time which both went very well and we really appreciate the very high standards they have in the surgery, the excellent communication and aftercare. We can't recommend them highly enough. Many thanks!

I have been bringing Samson to Jo and the wider team for over a year now. The team is very caring and offer practical advice for keeping my senior Labrador as healthy as possible. Such a friendly practice - Samson regularly drags me in to reception to say hi to his friends anytime we are passing!

Disgraceful service. I am a first pet owner and booked in a 'free consultation' with this place to be given advice on what I need to do when I first get a kitten. Within the first minute of me entering the consultation room, the surgeon proceeded to give my kitten a vaccination and a combined flea and worm treatment without informing me fully of what this was about and that this would cost me. I was in and out of the consultation room within the space of 5mins. He then advised me to go to reception to book my next appointment for my kitten's second vaccination. I went to the reception to book my next appointment and I was asked to £100.00. I asked what this was for and the lady at reception informed me it was for the injection and combined flea and worm treatment that my kitten just had and for the same treatment that will be given to my kitten in the next appointment. I asked why I wasn't informed of these costs prior to it taking place because I was informed on the phone that this was a "free" consultation and that if there were any costs involved, I should be informed of this prior to the services taking place so that I can agree. The surgeon that treated my kitten then comes out of the consultation room and calls me back into the room and an argument takes place between me and him about my above point. He then insults me by saying that I should be intelligent enough to know that none of what took place in the consultation room was for free. Had I known there would be any costs involved, I would have come back on a later date because I was tight on funds and struggling to meet bills that month because I was a full time student paying off my student loan on a part time salary. My visit to the vet was simply to get a free consultation as had been advertised on their website and said by the reception lady on the phone prior to my visit and booking. I agreed to pay for half of the bill given that have half of the services had been performed but refused to pay for the other half given that this was an advance payment for the injection and treatment that was to take place in my next appointment.I obviously refused to pay on the basis that I was never going back there again because of his underhanded behaviour. I now know that these services are not free but the surgeon should have told me this previously and not assumed I knew and furthermore, once he was made aware of this mistake, he should have apologised for the misunderstanding. Instead, he called me stupid.

I cannot recommend Vet in St Margarets, and Richmond Hill, highly enough. We had a very sick lab, Lyra, with cancer. We went through a very stressful time, with chemo. The whole family discussed the treatment plans, and were treated in a very sympathetic manner by the staff, especially Scott Miller and Emma. Lyra lasted another 3 years and ended her life in a very compassionate experience with the wonderful Emma and Scott, when her back legs finally gave out. Our Westie, Bella, has had various things done. The reception staff are without fault. No criticisms whatsover
