I was originally a little nervous about bringing my pet here as some reviews seemed quite mixed but fortunately I have no negative remarks or comments about this veterinary practice at all. I waited to write this review until I had visited a second time to ensure that I hadn’t just got lucky on my first visit. My partner and I brought both of our Guinea pigs here as one of them had injured his eye. I first phoned in to book the appointment and was able to book for the same day as it was quite urgent. The receptionist on the phone was very friendly, informative and made me feel at ease especially as I am someone who gets very high anxiety during phone calls especially under circumstances like these. On arrival at the practice we were quickly seen to and ask to wait in the small waiting area. The practice was running on time and soon enough the vet called us into our consultation to check over our Guinea pig. She was very thorough and explained things very well and the room itself was clean and well looked after. At the end of the visit we were able to collect and pay for the consultation and medication all in one go. The consultation fee was £40 and we paid an extra £40 in various medication as well. The vet requested a visit 1 week later and so we attended that as well. There were different vets on shift this time and we were also greeted by a different receptionist all staff were very friendly again. The vet this time also quickly checked over our other Guinea pig as well and assisted with claw clipping at no extra cost. Regarding our injured piggy she was very informative and honest about treatment and potential outcomes if our Guinea pig wasn’t to recover as well as hoped he is recovering perfectly fine so far. I liked that nothing was sugar coated she stated the facts about how he is now but what could possibly happen if he was to deteriorate relating to possible surgeries etc. The whole experience here put my mind at ease that my Guinea pig was in safe hands. Overall I will definitely be visiting this vets again without a doubt.
Vale Vets in Arleley Kings have looked after our dogs and cats for many years. We have always received great treatment. Unfortunately my King Charles had an eye infection over the weekend but we were given a very quick appointment and the vet did a thorough check before prescribing some eye drops. Recommended.
Having attended Vale Vets a few times to provide care for my pets, there’s been a couple of medicine mistakes what I received at the desk, and a pet not being tagged whilst service paid for. More concerning is Helen Hackney‘ a manner. Not really conducive to pet owners having a full understanding of the treatment and care of pets. Having been to vets where everything is 110% all the time and you can see and feel the love and care for your pet and support for you when things go wrong, this is definitely not that kind of vet!
I was with my daughter in law when she had their cat put to sleep.Everyone including the vet was so caring and compassionate.I would certainly recommend Vale veterinary group..
Thank you Vale Vets Stourport for looking after my boy today while he was having his dental - your all so very kind and caring. Can’t thank you enough! Much love as always
Vet was extremely pleasant and gave us alot of information. Our pup really took to her. The reception ladies were also really friendly and helpful
Went in for help with our Guinea pigs eye. It’s slowly healing now and getting better so thankful. Very friendly and no issues.
Friendly staff and quick to book appointments
We had our male frenchie in for his castration just over 12 months ago with Vale Vets, the operation was successful however the vet Helen Hackney decided to mention on the notes that our frenchie may need BOAS surgery in the future. This is not what we went to the vets for and was not mentioned to us in person when we collected our fenchie after his surgery, however at the time we didn’t think much of this. Fast forward just over 12 months on and our frenchie had developed issues with regurgitating his food and started to struggle on walks with his breathing so we decided to have BOAS surgery at a vets that specialise in this kind of operation. The surgery was successful and we started a claim with our insurance for the surgery only to be told that when our frenchie had his castration done in Vale Vets it had been mentioned he may need BOAS so this was now classed as a pre medical! I emailed Vale Vets and explained the situation and asked if a letter could be written to our insurance company to support that we did not ask for our frenchies breathing to be mentioned when he went in for his castration only to receive a very unhelpful and rude email back from the vet Helen Hackney who performed the surgery to say she would not write a letter and deemed his breathing at the time of the operation a cause for concern. This was NOT mentioned at the time when we collected our frenchie after the operation, if it had of been then of course we would of looked into our frenchie having this surgery done sooner! We are absolutely disgusted in how we have been treated and are now having to pay a £1,400 bill because of Helen’s inadequate professional judgement, let alone her how unhelpful she has been to help rectify the situation for us! Avoid this vets at all costs unless you wish to foot a very expensive bill due to their lack of patient care! If we could give this vets a review of no stars then we absolutely would!!!
Needed a worming tablet and passport stamped for my dog to return to Ireland. It cost €20 on the way over but these gougers charged me £51 for the privilege. Absolute rip off. Replyng to your comment. 5 minutes to orally administer a tablet and stamp a passport does in no way make that extortionate price justifiable on any level no matter how fancy you make it sound. It is pure greed that should be at least half that price as it is in Ireland.
