Staff care about the animals. Good manager. Never had cause to doubt animals welfare unlike some places. Very clean, the animals always have water and food and get very care when needed. I'm pretty impressed with my local pets at home actually.

So after loosing my job my pet insurance was cancelled :( .... My dog has been registered with pets at home from the day we had her all injections and flee treatment were provide for her at pets at home :) ....  my 11 month old golden retriever started scratching her throat area yesterday so gave her nice warm bath a good brush to help her discomfort,  as she was only flead 6 weeks ago couldn't see it being fleas by evening her throat was weaping and and very sore. I rang my vets pets at home in blackpole Worcester explaining what was wrong also the fact I only had enough money for consultation, a very nice reception lady said to take my dog in to be seen and we could try and work something out if treatment was need :) ... After a short consultation the vet said she was in to much discomfort and needs to be sedated and would definitely require antibiotics and antiinflammatories cost of around 260 plus the consultation I explained my circumstances and repeated what reception had told me, the vet said she needed to speak to manager few mins later returned to say that all cost would need to be paid up front and there was nothing more they could do until it was paid :'( after explaining I didn't have that sort of money and couldn't get it in one lump sum she replied were not a charity and have over heads too, offered me an antibiotic injection for my dog at cost of course which would last 12 hrs and said she will need to be seen again by a vet asap   so I paid what I owned and had to leave with a poorly pup . Heart broken , distraught, doesn't come close to how I feel right now . How could anyone send away a pet in pain and distress and sleep soundly . I will not under any circumstances be returning there . Since leaving I have spoken to a private vets practice who are more than happy to help with a payment plan to cover the cost of treatment , I wasn't asking pets at home for charity just to help me help my dog
