I visited the tearooms this morning (22 March) whilst shopping. I was asked if i wanted a drink whilst being shown to the table which was great but arrived some 15 minutes later... simple coffee, i then asked the lady who brought the coffee if i could order a fruit scone which took another 20 minutes to arrive by which time the coffee had been drunk. The scone was so dry it crumbled into a mess whilst being cut in half. I ate 1/4 which wasn't that easy. When leaving i was asked if the scone had been alright, to which i replied 'no it was very dry, i couldn't eat it.. no offer of apology just took my money. First time i have ever spoke out about a poor service, but really, it wasn't worth the long wait or changes. Wont be going back...

Lovely breakfast, very nice staff nothing is a problem. Lovely selection of food and drinks. Not tried the evening menu but it looks nice.

Dreadful experience. We decided to call in for brunch just before midday. After being shown to a table by a rather offish and unfriendly front of house woman, she advised us that she would be back shortly to take our order, she never bothered returning. She showed more customers to other nearby tables during the next 20 mins. After that we decided to get up and just leave. There were lots of other staff around who were more interested in clearing tables than taking orders from waiting customers. We won’t be going back anytime soon.

Very nice food. Full marks to the chef(s). Had a sea-bass with pan fried veg for £13.95 which was beautifully presented. Pretty good service too, although staff are even too young to qualify for minimum wage. Therefore, thought the menu was pricey, especially for a lunchtime. Didn't see any offers on display.

Service a little slow today but cannot fault food or staffs friendliness... Always a pleasure
