The Tower Hotel is a small family run hotel, restaurant and public bar in the mid-Wales town of Talgarth, at the foot of the Black Mountains in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park.

Story

The Tower Hotel was built in 1873 for the gentleman farmers to attend the livestock market, which still exists. Retaining many of its Victorian features, the Tower Hotel has been sympathetically updated with modern conveniences and boasts a lively public bar, licensed restaurant, bar meals, games area, five large bedrooms and parking.

Me and my partner stayed at the Tower Hotel for 1 night for a friends wedding in the area, and we loved it! The owners Jan and Pip with both lovely and welcoming, the rooms were massive and really clean with a modern bathroom and great shower. The breakfast was spot on too! We ended up having to shoot off the day after but would love to come back and explore the area more!
This gem of a hotel is handily located for spectacular hill walking from the doorstep. Beautifully restored by the hosts Pip and Jan, the welcome is warm, the rooms are clean and spacious and a great breakfast. We'll be back!

We stayed for 2 nights as attending a wedding near by. Spotless hotel. The bedroom was a great size too. The couple who run the hotel are friendly and nothing is too much trouble. It was a real treat to stay there. Breakfast was wonderful. Thank you for making our stay really fab. Hopefully we will be able to come back and do some walking.
