The New Gurkha Inn as it is now called serves freshly prepared Gurkha style curries. There is a tiny car park so you may have to park up the road a little. The pub side is as it always was, a bit tired. The restaurant area has been improved and quite comfortable, certainly not crowded and the music is quiet enough to be ignored. We sampled quite a few different dishes and they were all excellent. Everything was hot and tasty. Will certainly return.

Now known as the New Gurkha Inn. Basic room. Very comfy bed. Nice strong hot shower. And large smart TV . Nepalese restaurant . Amazing food. Unique taste of Nepal cuisine .

We stayed here on a cycle trip in April 2018 and had a great stay. Very good value hotel, with a most warm welcome from Manos the Manager. Cycles were well looked after in the store at the back. The food at the restaurant was also spot on with great vegetarian options! Watch out for the spicy dried chilli, seek and listen to Manos’ advice and only take small bites!

Spent one night here and we had the family ensuite! Room was clean and tidy , shower room was also clean and the shower had amazing water pressure :-) Sorry that the restaurant is closed on Monday . I woul recommend this place as is quite cheap and the staff and manager are doing ba good job!
