Since reopening in 2014, it provides the perfect spot to enjoy a drink or two, homemade snacks, and traditional board games. Lovely old pub. Look at the men's urinal! Proper old school. Not sure about all the stuffed animals. Taxidermists would love it. We only had drinks here but felt really cosy. Friendly service.
So great to have a professional barman on just now. Served in between pouring Guinness and poured the Guinness properly. So tired of a tipped glass with Guinness… it’s not larger! Polite and amazing at his job.
Gorgeous roast, plentiful and very tasty. Although not a vegetarian I opted for the cauliflower steak and it was particularly delicious. I would definitely recommend a visit.
I really like the atmosphere here. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the local crowd are a cheery bunch. The food is spot on and the beers and wines are well looked after.
As a non local can't say how good this pub is but from my visit it is a friendly place that is well worth going to. Great beers and a bit o friendly f banter with an the barstaff and customers. Well worth a visit. Beers spot on as well.
