What a find as a visitor to Frome! Young, but attententive, friendly and helpful staff. Great beer,ales and cocktails!The simple menu of Burgers loaded fries and fried chicken wings is a masterstroke!! If your gonna do one kind of food, do it the best you can! And they do here!! Everything freshly prepared using fresh ingredients as far as I could tell. Even down to the bacon bits!The portions are such value for money that you will want to finish your meal even when your too full to finish it!A definite recommendation!!
Never fails to impress. Great burgers, perfectly cooked, just love the Korean dirty fries. Service is always so good and it's a lively pub, Keep doing what you do so well at.Food: 5/5
Great beer, great food and great staff what more do you need on a Friday evening. Highly recommend the Griffin for the burgers as they're so good also the dirty fries. We'll be back soon
After discovering the griffin me and my wife have made it our date night food, everytime we try something different we are always amazed but the flavour and portion sizes, a big selection of nice ales and gins too, go really well with your meals. Always leaves happy and full :

Had a superb evening at The Griffin last night. The food was excellent. I had the double vegan cheeseburger, and my friend had the buttermilk halloumi burger. Delicious! Easy to order and even though the place was pretty full, we didn't have to wait long. A group of folk musicians were downstairs jamming away, and the great sounds drifted upstairs. We finished off the evening with a last drink downstairs listening and chatting to the various characters playing their excellent music.
Burgers were great, dirty fries were delicious and fried pickles were awesome and really nice cocktails. Staff were lovely and friendly, would come again
Visited Frome for a concert in the town. We were recommended to The Griffin by a member of the public. What a great recommendation it turned out to be! As we hadn’t booked, we sat outside, not ideal at this time of year, but at least it wasn’t raining! The staff were quick, attentive, and helpful with making changes to the advertised menus. Probably the best burger I’ve ever had! A nice selection of ales too, and all at a reasonable price. Highly recommend, but best to book in advance. Will certainly use again if I visit Frome again. Excellent!
Great little old pub with 2 floors, fireplace, and probably the best burgers you will ever have in your life! Staff are great, and it seems to attract a good variety of customers as opposed to usual 'local' kinda pubs. Would highly recommend no car park, but there's ample road parking nearby. Only gripe is they could do with some music being played over both floors :
Haven't been here for many years, new owners and an amazing atmosphere and that's before you get onto their burgers and chicken wings.....not sure there is an establishment I could compare them with it's that good. Bye bye 5 guys, see ya maccies!
