Very pleasant cafe by the canal. It has about 6 or 7 tables so could seat about 25. Also some tables outside and quite a large room upstairs which they probably use when they have functions. Excellent food - try the home made soup with half a sandwich. Lovely scones. Very friendly. Good coffee.

This is a lovely place to visit with family, especially when the weather is as beautiful as it has been recently (May 2018). Both outdoor and indoor seating areas are very well presented and furnished. We sat outside on the patio, which was just on the bank of the canal. This is a great place to just sit and look over one of the more active parts of Newbury. Positioned just opposite Victoria Park, this café is often busy in good weather- so for breakfast I would recommend arriving at opening time to get one of the better tables, though you should be fine arriving at any time if you may be willing to wait. Service is swift and helpful, and the menu has plenty of choice; catering plentifully for the vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free crowd as well. We ordered the vegetarian breakfast, which was above average quality. Though the food, in my view, was not quite as high quality as somewhere like the Flowerpot café, it was definitely tasty and filling, and the overall atmosphere of the place more than makes up for this.

A lovely coffee shop right next to the canal, where regular canal trips can be boarded throughout the summer. Great service and wonderful coffee

Always a great place to get tea and cake next to the canal in Newbury and support a charity at the same time. Food is always fresh, home made and delicious.
