The Lock Stock and Barrel commands a wonderful canal side location with great views of the church. There is a great selection of food served all day and a great Sunday roast. If you are walking with your dog, you will be very well welcomed with doggy biscuits on the bar. The bar is stocked with some very tasty ales, beers and largers. If you are a wine drinker you will find some wonderful wines on offer. The Lock Stock and Barrel is one of the best places in Newbury to drink, eat and to enjoy yourselves, well worth the trip out.

Lovely side of canal setting. Lots of window seats and outside seating along the river. Good view of the canal as well. Friendly staff. Good food but a bit pricey. Over all recommend a visit.

Awesome place to have a peg of whiskey and look at water flowing in the river passing nearby in the winters. A typical bar and pub environment with great ambience. Huge variety of drinks available and great staff. Very friendly and upbeat environment. Outdoor and indoor seating is available. Locating the pub might be a bit of problem, as it is located slightly deep inside the Northbrook Street. But it is always a pleasure to sit and relax with a bunch of folks or seating alone reminiscing good old time.

Lovely setting, great staff, didn't eat there so can't comment on food. Drinks a bit pricey.

Great pub by the canal. Good grub and selection of ales. Seating more for groups but adequate. Dog friendly, so bring Lassie and her friend.
