Pretty regular customer birthdays, meals out, etc and food is always delicious. Went for the Christmas Menu with family and it was next level. The portions were huge! The vegetables were cooked to perfection and full of flavour, the gravy was hot and right consistency, the turkey was juicy! I can't remember the last time I truly enjoyed turkey I usually just know it's quite a dry meat and am OK with that as I only really eat it at Christmas. I was so full from lunch time, I didn't eat again that day. Friendly staff, timely service and beautiful layout, nicely decorated and maintained log fires.
A very enjoyable evening meal. We took my wife's parents out for dinner and had a lovely evening. The food was good and the service was fantastic. We were served by Eve who was very friendly and attentive and always available when needed. She made my in-laws feel very special and really she made the evening perfect. We will definitely be coming again, thank you.
Lovely atmosphere, clean and tidy, nice warm fire. Good service and wait times not too long. Main meals were really nice and good menu choice. Puddings were over priced for what seemed to be bought deserts rather than homemade. Puddings seemed massed produced and overly sweet.

Great cozy country pub. I’ve eaten here twice in the last week and not been left disappointed. The roast dinners are lovely. Lots of meat, veg and potatoes. Some beautiful desserts on the menu too! The edible flower pot was delicious see pic!. I can’t wait to visit in the winter for the festive menu, with the fire on and a nice glass of Malbec! The staff can’t do enough for you. Very friendly and attentive, yet not intrusive. Would highly recommend!
Its easy access from/to town, Darlington, lot of parking space, nice outside and very warm welcome inside. Frendly staff and great food . Absolutely % recommended.
Just had a birthday meal here with my partner. We both had the Lamb Duo plus starters and the food was absolutely delicious and top quality service. Lovely country pub with open fire. Would highly recommend and will be back!
Absolute stunning place Proper real pub grub on offer! Been staying up the road and came 3 times each time was overwhelmed by how nice it all was! And the service is second to none. To 2 waitresses were brilliant polite and attentive.
Myself, my wife & 2 friend's went for a meal last night to celebrate their wedding anniversary. What an amazing place, beautiful open log fires too. Lovely service & gorgeous food. Very good deserts too. Would definitely go back & reccomend.
Very happy - prebooked table ready on arrival, friendly staff, good menu choices and the food was spot on. Everyone enjoyed their meals and with the 50% off main meals voucher you had sent it was great value. Despite being fairly busy the table was still not to near others and everything was clean with the right amount of cutlery in the pot.
