When it comes to roast dinners, we really know our stuff. Every day our chefs lay on a feast of tender, hand-carved meats with all the trimmings – including towering Yorkshire puds, golden roasties with all those lovely little crunchy bits, and plenty of freshly prepared veg, all crowned with proper gravy. So it's no wonder we're County Durham's favourite carvery restaurant.

Lovely place to be fair but food definitely not up to the same standard as other branches. Meat was delicious but the veg, potatoes, Yorkshire puddings and sauces had obviously been standing for some time because the place was quiet and this spoilt the meal overall. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Would go back again but would not be my first choice of Toby Carvery.

Very good carvery. This is a typical modern Toby Carvery. I prefer the old fashioned pub style Toby Carveries however the location of this one makes it very convenient. The meals are cheap for what you get. This is a proper homestyle roast. Unlike some other Toby carveries more care appears to be taken and the food is never left too long it is dried out. They often do add ice cream for.a pound which is proper dairy ice cream. Large car park and I have never had a problem getting a table.

Thanks to the friendly staff for accommodating someone with a vegan diet. We enjoyed our meals and the service. Many thanks. Easy to recommend.

Christmas day dinner. Well what a surprise we had greeted at the front with a happy face and given to our table that was presented by our meal choices on a laminated sheet that we pre ordered. Our table assistant was lovely again happy even gave the kids a present each and that was enough to keep our kids happy. The food was so nice and Toby's is good on any day but the food on Xmas day was amazing the starters were kitchen made and brought to us (I had the fancy soup thing with pesto
