Story

Beefeater opened their doors back in 1974, and were driven by a passion for glorious steak. Mouth-watering cuts at mouth-watering prices was their motto. Reassuringly nothing's changed, these things still drive them today and they always will.
Beefeater believe in two things, a warm friendly welcome and serving incredible steak that you can kick back, relax and enjoy. Well what can I say. I went with my Mother, Nana, Grandad, Uncle and Auntie for a nice birthday/ Mother’s Day lunch as it is my Nana’s birthday on Mother’s Day. We all ordered and I being a vegetarian ordered the sweet potato and feta lasagna. All our meals came and we started eating. Mine was quite hot and I couldn’t really taste anything but hot cheese, I was chewing thinking this doesn’t feel like sweet potato and I can’t taste the normally strong taste that comes with feta. I decided to cut up my lasagna to cook it down and explore my meal. Then to my horror I noticed mince and no sign of potato or feta. I have been a vegetarian for around 6 years now and I was utterly disgusted, I turned to my mum and said I feel sick when my mum asked why I pointed to my meal and said it’s meat. My uncle then enquired as to what was wrong and when told he like my mother were appalled. We flagged down the waitress and told her she then went to talk to the manager. After checking the till and taking my plate away they returned saying that the chef put the wrong tray in the oven because of some mix up with the new system. In fairness to them the manager did apologise, offer free drinks and desserts and refunded the bill, but honestly doesn’t really help much as myself and the rest of the party didn’t particularly want to eat anything else from them. I feel ill as well as feeling disgusted. 6 years of not eating meat and I was lied to and in a way tricked into eating something my body isn’t used to, essentially poisoning me. It’s safe to say I will never step foot in this or any beefeater establishments ever again!

We love taking the kids on a Sunday morning - the staff are so friendly (my 3 year old get so much attention from them) and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble! The breakfast is super tasty and there's a quick turnover of food, meaning it's very fresh! Would highly recommend x

Went for a breakfast. Myself, my wife and both children had our full for a little over £17. The breakfast was buffet style, cooked and continental. We all left full and happy. Staff were friendly and efficient. No issues at all, will HAPPILY return.
