I booked lunch at the Sword Inn Hand for my family and me on Boxing Day 2024. There were five of us, and we had a fantastic time. I can't fault any aspect of lunch - the service was excellent and with super friendly but professional staff. The food was outstanding, with a great selection and one of our party is Gluten Free and she was looked after incredibly well. We will definitely be going back and I would recommend this lovely pub to anyone who's looking for great food, service, value and friendly staff.
Visited on Christmas Eve for a late lunch with my family, the first time I've been somewhat disappointed with the food and the atmosphere. The starter was delicious, but the main, confit duck, was lacking in any flavour. It was extremely loud in the dining area which made it almost impossible to engage in conversation on our smaller table of five. I've eaten here a few times previously and have always been happy with the food so im hoping my most recent visit was a one off. The staff are always friendly and well attentive.
Our family from 3 different locations met for our annual Crimbo get-together in early Jan. Service was excellent. Food was excellent. Decor was so homely...reminded me of my own home. We'll definitely be coming back as its only 35 minutes away.
The food I had was really good. The whole menu looked really great. The chicken schnitzel was very tasty and so was everything that accompanied it. The sticky toffee pudding was amazing and a very large slice. Well worth the money.
A truly excellent dining venue.nThe food is superb and the staff were very approachable and worked tirelessly.nGood atmosphere and very family friendly. Level gardens to the rear. Ample parking.
