Particularly recommended and a one of the most delicious Indian restaurants around. Very easy to find, just north of Burgate and parking is very simple and well lit. The team are very welcoming, and the service and attention to detail is excellent. My tip is to make a reservation because Surma Valley can get quite busy, certainly busy from 7.30pm on Friday & Saturday. I have visited on several occasions; large and small groups are welcomed, and large groups can be very cleverly seated using large banquet type tables. In summary, the food is very well presented and tastes delicious, and if (like me) you order too much they pack a takeaway too.

Had this highly recommend to me as one of the best Indian restaurants around. I was not impressed as I went here for a birthday meal. Over priced. Poppadoms and chutneys bought to our table without being asked for and then tried charging, and the actual meal wasn't anything special. Expensive and not enjoyed unfortunately. Prefer to go to the Raj, although wasn't impressed by the food or service last time I got a takeaway from their either. As for some of the 5 star reviews on here. Looks to me suspiciously like the owner and staff. Otherwise they may have got 3 stars from me

Very bland.4 chicken dishes all tasted the same. On the plus side the Poppadoms and bhajis were ok.

This is the best Indian restaurant in the area by far. Well run and a pleasure to eat at or take away. My favourite is the Dhall Panjiri really delicious.

Very nice restaurant, very good food and plenty of it. Exalant service and very clean. Will go again, normally plenty of parking space.
