Nice pub with good beer selection. Garden is good with views across the field, but is ruined by a very noisy kitchen extractor. Meaning it's not an enjoyable place to sit perhaps the few seats around the corner of the garden are better?

Absolutely super spot for a friendly pint or some top notch dining. I've never had a bad experience here, and I've stayed and eaten here fairly frequently. It's always best to book in advance as the substantial dining areas get full quick!

Food excellent with vegetarian choices. Friendly, efficient staff. A real gem of a place tucked away in beautiful countryside. Would highly recommend it for meals, drinks in a friendly pub & a stay in their self catering cottages on site.

Stayed for b&b. Helpful and friendly staff , large clean room. Expect bar noise..we had to put up with hearing every word from a patron swearing loudly up until 11.50 pm when everyone was cleared from the bar. Breakfast was 6 out of 10 let down by the greasy ciabata or soda bread under the fried eggs, the cold watery mushroom and mushy tomatoe. Bacon and sausage were excellent.
