Superb Fullers Pub.nThe location is excellent, if it’s hot enough sit outside, it’s lovely to eat and drink and watch the boats sail by.nnExcellent beer.nFantastic Sunday Roast, good portion size and a nice choice with a veggie option.nFish and chips always on the menu and lunch served all day.nGood & quick service.nnYou can always rely on excellence from a fullers pub and this one is no exception.
This restaurant has two floors, offering spectacular views of the southsea seafront. I have had a roast, the fish and chips is excellent, their wines are very good and this is my favourite destination to go to on a Sunday. Bets to book as it can get very busy. Other than that I always enjoy my experience here, the chef is top quality.
Great beers, excellent views and fantastic food.nFor lunch we had pork cheeks & mash and crispy poached egg with asparagus see pics.nCrispy poached eggs were amazing
I totally recommend this place. They are not the cheapest but I would say that the money you pay here is well spent.nnMy family and I went for lunch for my dad's 50th birthday. We had a seat by the window so we had a lovely view over Portsmouth Harbour. The staff were extremely friendly and patient. And the food was no less than perfection.nnWe had an appetizer of Rosemary Focaccia and olives, it was delicious!! I started with the Crispy Pork Cheeks which were amazing. It fell apart and was full of flavour. I then had the Beer Battered Haddock for the main course. The fish was brilliantly cooked and the chips were cooked to perfection. Although it wasn't the cheapest, the money is totally worth it.nnI would definitely come here again!nnOne suggestion would be to add a drinks list but it is very minor and did not impact the meal at all.
Truly exceptional fish and chips by the sea.nnIt has been 10 years since we last visited the Still and West due to living away from Portsmouth. We returned today to hopefully repeat numerous good visits and we’re not disappointed.nnThe Still and West is a lovely pub situated in Old Portsmouth. There’s a lovely beer garden on the waters edge that provides a great place to watch the world go by and the Spinnaker Tower completes the setting.nnThe facilities are great. The toilets are clean and there is plenty of choice at the bar. Inside and out the pub is beautifully laid out and the staff are very polite and helpful.nnThe main attraction for this pub though is the the fish and chips. We ate ours in the beer garden which provided the perfect setting. The fish batter was was light and crispy and there wasn’t a soggy chip in sight. The meal was excellent.nnWe will certainly be returning. Good job Still and West and pleased to see the high standards have been maintained over the years.
