Fantastic real ales and the best Sunday roast with the nicest mash ever. :

Was really nice food and quick service. Good prices. The waiters were kind and great they were all wearing masks as well. They have good precautions in place for COVID 19 including a 1 way system. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating.

Great location of the "Steamboat Inn' alongside the "Trent Lock" near Sawley. Lovely food [pub grub] and selection of drinks, inside and outside dining with good views of the Canal, Lock and River Trent

Popped into this pub after a cycle ride to the lock. Post-COVID lockdown and they had many outdoor tables available. Good selection of fresh cask ale.

Only had a beer, which was good. Nice views of river and canal.

Proper traditional pub in great location at Trent Lock next to the canal and river junction. Lovely baguette for lunch, washed down with a quality bitter - Battle Axe - sitting outside in unusually warm sunshine.

I would recommend everything at the Steamboat from the food to the beer. Out of the two pubs down at Trent Lock this is the best. We including the dog who loves Carl the chef never go anywhere else when on a walk!
