Very good pub! Chilling atmosphere, tasty food, great service, and lovely staff! Randomly picked this pub to pop in for lunch and stayed very pleased with the service and food. It was quite busy on Sat afternoon but we didn't have to wait long. The food was served within a reasonable time and was very delicious! It's definitely worth visiting!
Arrived for Brunch with a group from a care centre and was warmly greeted and given the option for where we could sit. Our waitress Kelly went above and beyond to make everyone feel comfortable and even spoke to everyone. Ordering was made easy from m food to drinks and food was promptly bought out. Everyone really enjoyed the food and said that Kelly was lovely and the place was great. Thank you for making us feel so welcome
Me & the family went in here for something to eat on a sat at about 7.30pm & it was pretty busy. The food was delicious, 1 of us had steak & it was cooked to perfection, exactly how it was asked to be cooked. Everyone's food was perfect & all plates were empty. The food was better than your average Greene King pub. All the staff was polite & friendly. I would definitely eat here again.
Great spot for dinner, servers where brilliant. Chicken wings weren’t great, far too greasy and chewy. Other than that great experience all together.Food: 3/5
Popped in while staying over the road. It's snug and comfy. Calm vibe. Food was quick and VERY nice. We had the ultimate burger and chicken fajitas. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would return again.Food: 5/5
Cozy pub with nice atmosphere, clean, good selection of beers and ales. Friendly stafFood: 5/5
It's a really lovely restaurant near Attenborough lake. My wife had the squid and the Hunters Chicken. I had the BBQ jack meal. The order was quick to make, I doubled up for only two pounds. The burger was beef patty with pulled beef in BBQ sauce with Monterey chicken. It contained fries, coleslaw and onion rings on side. The squid was perfectly cooked with tartar sauce. The hunters Chicken was very good and very tender and recommended. My wife could not finish the chips. Big portion. Expensive compared to other pub restaurants but the quality is there.
This has to be one of the best Greene Kings I've been to and I've been to lots working all over the country. The building is really nice, very clean and the staff were all happy and professional. The food was really good for pub food, I was impressed and definitely would come back again next time I'm working there
Booked here for our daughter’s birthday lunch. Was greeted by a young lady on the bar before she fetched James assistant manager. We were on table 12 which James added a table to join up as there was quite a few of us. No need to order at the bar now as it’s table service which I found much better than before. Our meals were top notch no complaints at all. Soft music playing in the back ground. We all had a lovely time. Thank you James and staff for your hospitality highly recommended. Parking: Plenty parking spaces and disabled spaces.. Kid-friendliness: Children are allowed in the Cornmill They are made very welcome by staff. They can help themselves to crayons and colouring books. Also have a play area where you can watch them. Great variety on children’s meals. High chairs too. Wheelchair accessibility: We tend to come here often as it’s wheelchair friendly. Plenty space and very tidy. Toilets plenty room to move about even with a wheelchair in and plenty handles to hold onto.
Great service, friendly hard working staff and decent prices make this well worth a visit.Food: 4/5
