Quality kept cask ales & real cider, great live entertainment every weekend and a fantastic atmosphere.

Story

The Hop Pole is a local traditional community pub situated in Chilwell. It is a very old, unspoilt pub dating back to 1870. With its lovely original beams and 2 fireplaces, this gives the pub a very warm, homely feel, and with friendly staff throughout this makes The Hop Pole a fantastic place to spend the afternoon. We have a fully stocked cellar, offering draught beer, wine and spirits, along with real ale and a range of soft drinks for all non-drinkers and drivers. In the summer months the beer garden is a lovely place to sit and relax with a refreshing drink, or a tasty meal. Choose from some delicious traditional pub grub, with favourites including fish and chips and a roast dinner served every Sunday. To accommodate all smokers, there is a heated smoking area to keep you nice and warm and the winter nights, and with disabled access and a car park on the premises this makes the pub easily accessible for all. Every Tuesday night is dedicated to live music evenings which are fantastic nights, with different acts on each week, quiz nights also take place of a Wednesday in which there is a gallon of ale up for grabs, so come on down and test your knowledge. For that special occasion, 200 people can be accommodated for throughout and a buffet can be provided on request. So come on down to The Hop Pole where a warm and friendly welcome awaits you.

Been coming here for just over 2 year's now and love the real beer they have. Always a good atmosphere and the staff are helpful of there knowledge on the beer being sold. Every live act I've seen here has always been good and fun to watch can't recommend this place enough. Garden isn't the best in the summer but I can't complain to be honest
A dog friendly bar in Beeston. Very traditional. Great selection of local and craft beer and cider.
Had a brilliant time on Saturday night in the "Hop Pole" on chilwell high road.... There was a live group on called "Phoenix Rising" - they were very good..... The bar staff are very friendly here too..... It was lovely and warm inside, but bitterly cold outside.....Food: 5/5
Great small pub, offers not bad selection of beers, very friendly staff, and having played with a band, can guarantee good live music. Also has an outdoor seating area, and conveniently the tram stops right outside the front door.
A great pub, with a great choice of beer. Dog friendly, with locals as friendly as the staff. Definitely somewhere to visit next time we're in Beeston.Service: 5/5

This public house is on a busy road with a tram stop right outside, this pub has 4 to 5 real ales plus lagers that are reasonably priced. Live bands on every other Saturday evening.
Had a great Saturday night, live band "Fat Chance". Brilliant atmosphere, great music and a couple of drinks, what more do you need for a good evening out.Service: 5/5
This pub has a great selection of well kept beer. It's friendly and it supports Nottingham musicians.
