Although the place is dated it could really do with a good redecorating and the bathrooms are out of the ark! this place has a tonne of charm, views over St.Micheals Mount to die for and a family friendly team of staff who are attentive and accommodating. The menu is basic and food isn't currently served on weekdays. Cornwalls hospitality trade is another victim of covid and staff are hard to come by one can only assume. Service is prompt and the food adequate and fairly priced. Access is pretty easy and there's ample parking. All in all a nice little pub with fantastic views. Only detractors is the decor, which can easily be overlooked when you're sat outside or in their conservatory overlooking that view!
If you like motorbikes of all types Tuesday evening is well worth a look,5pm onwards, staff are brilliant,,,people friendly, even if you don't have a bike the view is breathtaking & the beer is cheap, coffee is also available ,I personally like the atmosphere
Marcus is a true gent, really down to earth and what I would describe as a genuinely old school bar tender, who will sit and listen to you, and also get involved. The establishment, could benefit from some renovation, however this takes nothing away from the charm of the place. Located on the beech front literally metres from the sand, the beach is dog friendly. A lovely little pub with very friendly staff.
The food here was really nice and a good price for around Cornwall. The staff were friendly and we even ate with a lovely view over St Michael Mount! They weren't serving dessert because of an imminent take-over, I hope this doesn't affect the quality.
As a fellow bar staff who works for Mitchell's and butlers and who have been in the Industry for many years this setting is amazing!! I work a hard week and am familiar with the industry Marcus who was an amazing member of staff offferded us promotions such as shots and doubles gave good price food was amazing an Sunday roast was exquisite pork was beautiful melt in your mouth, was amazing and the outside scenery was exquisite. Also beer garden may as well offer sea view as it was that close!! Beautiful time I had with close friends and family any tourist / local looking to book or visit definatly pay a visit as you will be looked after !!!@ Good atmosphere and good prices 10/10
Well worth a visit but watch for tide
Although it was quiet it was still good nice atmosphere great barlady attentive and very pleasant
Lovely find, lots of pay and display parking, traditional food at a good price and most importantly dogs allowed on lead at managers discretion and they brought treats and water for them. Fabulous and would recommend.
This place is extremely outdated. When asked if they served food, was met with a dumbfounded response, “no not today, you never no until you turn up to work if there serving food or not”. Ordered drinks only to witness someone receiving a food order 5 minutes later. Needless to say we didn’t stay.
Excellent pub with great views to St Michael's Mount from the conservatory Great food. Friendly staff
