**The Cutty Sark Restaurant and Bar: A Seaside Gem with a Heart!** nnAhoy, foodies! Just a short stroll from the beach and the majestic St Michael’s Mount, you'll find The Cutty Sark Restaurant and Bar – a charming spot that promises to satisfy both your hunger and your wanderlust.nnFirst off, the vibes here are absolutely on point. With a cozy bar and a delightful beer garden out back, plus ample seating in the front, it’s perfect for families, couples, and anyone looking to unwind after a day by the sea. The staff? Simply the best! Friendly and incredibly patient, especially with kids who might be a bit fussy – like mine, who decided the super chunky chips were a no-go. But hey, more for me!nnThe food? Solid. I went for the crab linguine, which was good, though not the best I’ve ever had. But when you’re dining so close to the surf, even an average crab linguine feels like a treat. The kids' small bites menu is a lifesaver for picky eaters, even if the chip-to-mouth ratio was a bit off for our little ones.nnAll this seaside charm comes at a reasonable £20 per person, making it a spot where your wallet can relax too. So, next time you're beachside and in need of a hearty meal and a warm welcome, set sail for The Cutty Sark. You’ll leave with a full belly, happy kids, and a smile as wide as the ocean.
The food definitely surprised me positively. The pork belly nuggets with prawns was my favourite dish, I could’ve easily just ate that if it was a mains with more meat.nnThe fish dish of the day fish, potatoes, broccoli was cooked perfectly but lacked seasoning and flavour. I was expecting the fish to bring it own flavour.nnOverall great spot and would recommend
Food: the food I ordered was a cutty burger; one of the best burgers I've ever had, a massive bowl of skinny fries on the side, loved it. There are sea food, and kids options as well as traditional pub food.nnService: we only had about 15 minute wait for our food and we came into the pub at 1pm so we didn't wait for seating.nnAtmosphere: very traditional pub atmosphere, maps one the wall, boat figures, and loud chatter.nnOverall: 9/10 very enjoyable
On recommendation we visited for Sunday lunch - and i have to say one of the best Sunday Lunches other than that prepared by Mrs S of course - good size portions, great quality, well presented - friendly service and good atmosphere - can recommend.nNote - best to park in large carpark and walk into Marizon.
We stayed in marazion recently and this place was recommended for Sunday lunch and in the words of my partner “best Sunday lunch ever” they did smaller plates for smaller appetites which was perfect for me the food, service and atmosphere were amazing just a shame we live so far away as we would be back regularly. Would highly recommend.
