Story

The delightful family run Station Hotel Larbert is situated in Larbert in The Forth Valley, in one of the most beautiful areas of Scotland, and is a superb base from which to discover the Bonny Highlands, Loch Lomond,The Trossachs, and some of the most stunning scenery in the country.

Being perfectly placed – 5 minutes from Falkirk, 10 minutes from Stirling and 30 minutes from Glasgow, Station Hotel Larbert is close to the M9 and M876, and as the name suggests, perfectly placed at Larbert train station, with train links to the whole of the UK.

In 1840, with the arrival of the Scottish Central Railway, the town first saw economic growth. Due to its close proximity to the railway line, there has been a hostelry on the site for more than 150 years, somewhere for weary travellers to enjoy a good drink and a warm meal after a long journey.

What a lovely place to eat. Excellent choice menu. Recommend the Haggis Bon bons. Super staff and very clean. Very accommodating as it was our last selection. It will be our first next time!!Service: 5/5
We went to the restaurant and had a fantastic meal. Brilliant, friendly service and brilliant tasty food. We live in the South of France, but next time we visit our children/grandchildren we'll be back.Service: 5/5

Good bar food, but expensive. Stopped off in here for some vital refreshments beer and snacks after our business in Larbert. Overall the quality was good, but the price left me feeling a bit short changed. Food & drinks: They advertise themselves as Scotlands premier real ale venue, but on the day we went they only had one on tap. Granted, it was very nice and flavourful but not exactly a great start. Chips were decent not pictured, but the portion felt very small, probably less than 10 chips in total and at £4.50 felt quite overpriced. Chicken strips with jack daniels barbecue sauce were good, but £6.25 for 3 pieces of chicken... Beer battered onion rings were also tasty, £4 doesn't sound much, but the ingredients couldn't have cost more than 50p As far as decor and service is concerned it was absolutely fine. Staff were nice, food was served promptly.
Great pub, best whisky collection within a 10 mile radius, if your train goes through Larbert you want to stop here for a quick recharge, great pints tooRooms: 5/5
The Station Hotel is great and has been great for many years. Real ale taps at the top end of the bar. Relaxed. Comfortable. Ideal really.
We had a meal here last night and everything was excellent. Service and food really great and the haggis bon bons for starters were brilliant I'd personally go back just to get them. Very handy when getting off the train at Larbert just before walking along to the Dobbie Hall for a show. Highly recommended here for a meal.Service: 5/5
We had a lovely meal last Saturday. And what we liked was the menu wasn't 3 pages long. Which meant to us fresh cooked meals and not pre cooked. Great servings and food hot. Served with a smile definitely be back Service: 5/5
Popped in for a drink while visiting family in the area. Great wee pub. Fantastic selection of whiskies and various ales/beers. Love the atmosphere and decor. Will definitely be back when I next visit.Service: 5/5
I visited this pub on a Saturday afternoon while staying with my son in Stenhousemuir. I was attracted by the Real Ale banners adorning the outside. Unfortunately only two of the ales listed on the board were available but they were both very good and well priced. It would have been a pretty good experience had it not been for some supporters singing football songs in the bar,I was not expecting that.
