I have recently stayed at this hotel for a number of months while working locally. The staff are friendly and helpful at all times and the rooms are always clean and very comfortable. The food is reasonably priced and was very nice. Maybe because I was a long stay guest,  but the cook would always ask if I would like something different which made it all the nicer to stay. I spent most evenings in the bar, as it was a nice and friendly bar where I could eat and drink and chat to Mags as she runs the bar ( mags bar) and was lovely and also helpful and friendly at all times. The breakfast was always lovely (you must try the sausages!!!). I also got to meet the owner Gay who could not do enough to make sure everything was ok. This is a very old building in a busy area which has squeaky floor boards and lots of  corridors leading in different directions which gives it its old school charm. During my stay I had noticed the owners had been modernising some rooms with some new bathrooms being fitted. All in all I would definitely stay here again if i was in the area. Thank you all Chris

In the middle of gradual refurbishment, although not very well executed in decorating skills, the style is much improved. Fabulous hotel structure, lots of potential but still a long way off being finished, I suspect. Would recommend it completely  for: location,character, friendliness of staff, helpfulness, cleanliness, although some aspects are still old and need TCL! Parking and excellent prices 😁

It’s perfectly centralised in town. It’s clean and helpful friendly staff. Noise is what to expect from the street,I had no problem sleeping. Car park is a real bonus and has cctv coverage. If you want more go to a four star hotel. We often stay at higher rating hotels but this did what we wanted. Close to the Mayflower theatre and some where to sleep.

I reckon the staff must be blackmailing guests to write nice reviews of this place.
Every opportunity is made to fleece you throughout your stay.
Hotel is noisy and seems to encourage other guests to shout, lead large pack animals down the corridor at 0100 in the morning. 
 Staff are friendly enough though but sadly overcharge for staying.

Nice hotel friendly staff cheap parking for the city centre.
The room and bathroom was a little bit worn
But having said that it was warm comfortable and clean.
