Me and my friend just got back today from staying at this hotel for my 20th birthday. We had an amazing time the staff were so friendly especially Sarah. She was extremely helpful and welcoming. Our question were answered to the top standard and she remained very professional. There was also another staff member that really stood out to us but we can’t remember her name, she had some beautiful piercings tho. She’s was so funny and extremely caring when we entered the restaurant.nnThe room it’s self was pretty avarage, bathroom was clean bedding was fresh with clean towels. We did find a little dust on the window seal and a stain on the chair but nothing that would have had an effect on our stay.nnThe only thing that bought our review down was the location of the hotel. Our room was right by a tunnel where it was obviously where people go for a smoke. But our room was constantly smelling like weed but the room was too hot to keep the windows shut. Also as the hotel was by a busy road near st Marys there was sirens all day and all night long - we were kept awake a little by them but you do kinda adjust to.nnThank you for a good stay and for making my birthday that extra special and fun for me. Keep up the good work.
Ive stayed at this hotel several times and always had a fantastic experience from start to finish. The staff were welcoming, professional, and always happy to help with anything we needed. The room was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable.nI would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, quality, and excellent hospitality. Special mention for Poppy, Charlene and Josef who were incredibly helpful! Their professionalism and warm hospitality truly made the experience even more enjoyable.
We had a lovely stay.nThe best thing were the friendly staff.nSpecial mention to James in the bar.He is exceptional and a very valued member of staff.nAlso Sara from reception. She is so helpful and pleasant.nThe only downside is there are no USB plugs in the room.nBreakfast was lovely
The staff are incredibly friendly, and accommodating. They helped me upon check-in and was very welcoming. The rooms were well cleaned, spacious and comfortable. The restaurant is beautiful and the food was delicious. My server was Shelley and she was amazing, she made sure that my allergies were accommodated for, cleaning the table with a fresh cloth upon sitting down, ensuring I had brand new cutlery that hadn't been in the pot on the table, had my food prepared in a separate area and washed their hands every time before touching my plate. Shelley made me feel very welcome and safe, checking in on me ensuring everything was ok and she helped answer any questions that I had, thank you Shelley. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone planning to stay in Southampton.
Really it's 4 1/2 stars. Only a few minor points. Torn chair in room, and window needed some attention. Long wait at times for staff, but very helpful when found. Nicely decorated restaurant and bar. Car park well situated, but limited spaces, easy pay system by main door. Well located for town, though a little far for cruise terminal if walking. Luckily I had a nice quiet room, not sure about others. Would recommend, but would like to be able to choose room.
