Just come back from a one night stay. Actually quite impressed to be honest. Reception and all staff very helpful and happy. Room was 3rd floor with a balcony and looked to have been recently updated. Comfortable sleep too. Pool was nice. Hot tub was hot but the whirl pool jets were very weak. Spa treatment was also good. We had a cream tea which was nice too. Breakfast was good. Hot and plenty of choice..... the hotel is currently being renovated in some areas but does not cause any issues. Added bonus of free parking too. Overall I had a very nice stay and would stay again here.....

The building is lovely and the housekeeping staff are friendly. The breakfast was fine. Rooms are spacious clean apart from bathroom mirrors and in need of maintenance. Room service and reception don't seem to answer the phones when calling from your room. Bar staff clearly don't want to be there. Bar stock was extremely limited with a response of "we had a busy weekend" Pool area in need of TLC and maintenance as do the lifts. Staff training is also needed.

Large, spacious hotel with polite staff, good facilities and well located with great shops, restaurants, cinemas, etc nearby. Pricey parking at £10 per night but you can save £ if you opt out of housekeeping. Breakfast was basic and not hot. Overall atmosphere is plush and comfortable unless someones little darlings are running riot day & night. Room a good size, bed wonderfully comfortable, toiletries and tea/coffee facilities provided. Billing service questionable as I was incorrectly charged for silver tray room service whilst out with family! No idea what that was about but reception were good about removing items from my bill.

We (me and my boyfriend) went there for weekend getaway trip. Very very nice hotel, hotel is nice and clean, service is fabulous, especially spa receptionists did their best (We booked spa and afternoon tea package via Groupon and Groupon made mistake and didn't booked for us for spa and afternoon tea). So hotel didn't received our booking, however even though they are fully booked, the receptionist lady did her best and reported it to her supervisor to make it happen for us. We do appreciated that. Overall price is a bit high but fair with the standard of the hotel, we had lovely and good time while we were staying at hotel.

Stayed here using a Groupon voucher. Enjoyed our stay here. Staff attentive and friendly. Room was clean and well stocked. Hotel seemed to be under renovation on some floors and looking rather aged in places. Had an excellent steak dinner here but had to wait some time for it to arrive. Used the pool and sauna whilst here unfortunately the jacuzzi was closed. I would stay here again but would recommend the short stroll into town for more variety in evening meal options.
