You get what you paid for. Very easy access. Near the port terminals, if you're in transit, it's great location for you. Staff very friendly and helpful. Clean and tidy rooms.

Hotel ibis Southampton. It is a nice comfortable room with a bath. It has a bar and food. But there is also a turtle bay a few minutes walk. And a TGI Friday's practically on the doorstep. And a MacDonalds.

Perfect place to stay in Southampton We booked two rooms for the weekend. Location is really central and walking distance to everywhere. The hotel is clean, quiet and professionally run by some of the best people I met at front desk. Very courteous Parking is ample and well worth the 6 pounds daily rate.

I was impressed by how friendly and helpful every member of staff was throughout my stay. Food was good - especially liked that I could request porridge for breakfast. My room had everything that I needed, was clean and I appreciated the comfy bed. 4 stars as it was a little overpriced for a basic room with slightly tired decor.

Arrived by 2pm and our room was ready and we were speedily checked in. The room was clean and comfortable for an overnight stay. Not that big but not a problem for our stay for one night. We booked breakfast and again this was more than adequate and plentiful. The staff extremely efficient and helpful. We pre-booked a taxi for the next morning via the hotel taxi line and this was an hour late but of course your cannot blame the hotel for that - just the fact there was apparently 4 cruise ships leaving that day!
