This pub is a hidden gem ,never been there before and it's lovely ,very friendly and great food will defo go back .
A great little pub in Chorleywood, with a cute snug garden. Staff are friendly and there's a relaxed atmosphere. We visited on a summer day on Sunday, and were surprised how not-busy it was. It did start to get busy indoors. There's a big green-house space that can be hired out for parties - as there was one going on, hence the assumption that you can hire it. The prices are def on the higher side, with a beer more than a sixer. Great selection though for gins! Food too is good we had nachos and chicken thighs, and they try their best to accommodate any requests. Not too many tables outside, but sufficient for a not so busy afternoon. The inside is inviting and there's sufficient parking.
I don’t do this often but I am absolutely appalled by this place, I brought my parents to treat them, firstly there is a dinning area and we were sat down but after 15 minutes at the table we decided let’s just go order our drinks at the bar, then we had our drinks and waited another 15 minutes trying to order food, while we watched the staff sit down and chat straight in front of us without taking any notice of us, eventually when we got someone’s attention we ordered the food, starters absolutely amazing, mains the crab burger were also amazing the problem comes with the steaks we ordered two medium, they both came well done, I spoke to the waiter who barley spoke to us he took it to the kitchen and came back a minute later to say no they probed it and it’s definitely medium absolute joke the inside was grey. I’m sorry for leaving 1 star because the food for the most part other than the steaks was great, but the employees clearly don’t care, I run a pub and I cannot believe you’d pay people to sit and chat, ignore the customers. Hospitality should be made clear to the staff of what it is and why they are being paid to work here. You are paying them at least make them do the basics
