very pleasant old pub in Chorleywood, fairly close to railway station. Extension for meals, and garden out back. Very quiet on Saturday lunchtime, but friendly welcome. Recommended.

Superb carvery, food was very tasty. Service was quick & friendly. One small bit of feedback is that it was a little cold as the window next to me seemed to be letting a draft in but I understand that's due to the age of the building. 

Overall very, very good. We shall be back!!!

Generally quiet enough to get a table and usually a great range of beer.

Nice local pub - no airs and graces. Good beer, good food (Friday and Saturday evenings bar food and Sunday Carvery)
