Lovely views, tasty food and great service... what more could you want? Made a last minute reservation for mother's day and the staff accommodated us in the most pleasant way. Ordered the roast leg of lamb which was really good. The pub is dog friendly and the setting is cozy for the cold winter evenings. Will definitely be back.
Very disappointing. It used to be good many years ago. We went there recently. It's location is nice with good country views. The food was terrible. I had fish and chips. It was the worst I have ever tasted. The batter was thin and soft. Not crisp. The chips were soggy as well. When I complained the staff member was off hand, hardly apologetic. I was foolish to pay.
Great buzz, wonderful find, quirky and traditional. Super friendly and thoughtful staff. Delicious food prepared with passion.
Sitting by the open fire as you eat wonderful food from a wide choice is a great experience. The staff are friendly and helpful. I only wish it was my local. Use a satnav as it can be difficult to spot in the dark.
Attended the “Indian Street Food Evening” with friends and the food was amazing!! The chef is soo good and produced dishes that were fresh and authentic and some of the best we’ve had outside of India. Can’t wait for the next one! The service and atmosphere was also warm and welcoming. Thanks
Just had a lovely Sunday Lunch!!! Great Service and Food. Although I hadn't booked they were very helpful to accommodate us despite the fact of being a busy Lunch. Thank you so much and we will be back soon!
Extremely disappointing. 4/6 people who ate have fallen sick with stomach issues after having lunch there. The food was below average. We arrived around 1pm, got food around 2:30 PM. We couldn’t get the attention of the staff, I had to get up from the table at least twice. For some bizarre reason they placed us right next to a door leading outside, when we had two toddlers with us? We still tipped 10%, and I do feel bad for them as it seemed they were overwhelmed. But I don’t want other people to make the same mistake. They need to do better. It was particularly upsetting as it was a family lunch and I suggested the venue based on the Google review score of 4.5 which I can confidently say it certainly is not. An apology at least would have deterred me from writing this review.
The food was lovely, and good value with really decent portion sizes. The service was much less impressive. We were seated, then immediately suggested we move to a worse table. Trying to pay was beyond painful. Overall probably wouldn't return.
We went for the Christmas dinner and wasn't disappointed with the food or the service. The food was amazing and I must say the cider was really good too. 11/10 will be coming back again!
Lovely country pub. New. Owners since we last visited, and the food was amazing. Attentive staff, and feels like a proper country pub with great views and am open fire. Will definately return again.
