Friendly pub and restaurant, well placed for walks around the Hadlow area. Had the Sunday carvery, the meat was good but the potatoes and veg were a bit hit and miss, some of it was underdone. Pint of Harvey's Best was in decent condition. Very pleasant garden area with a good sized kids play area. Worth a visit.
We have been looking for the perfect Sunday carvery for a while now and have tried a few places where the food quality was not great. Today we tried the Rose Revived and we are so happy. The carvery was delicious, really good quality meat, veg, yorkshires and roast potatoes. The service was also lovely. Very reasonable price. Will definitely be returning.
Visited today for dinner with my family and was not disappointed. The pizzas are huge! Excellent value at two for £15 on a Saturday and great service. They didn’t have something that my husband ordered but came out with several alternative options. Very satisfied with the service received. Will definitely be visiting again soon!
We went along to The Rose, Revived for their famous Sunday Carvery. We booked, as we know Sundays get busy. It didn't disapoint. They offered 3 types of meat and I opted for the beef; it was beautifully cooked. Generous portions, friendly and attentive staff, generally a lovely atmosphere. We'll worth a visit if you fancy somewhere thats a bit nicer than a regular pub.
I came here for a carvery with my friend. I'm a non meat eater and the veggie options contained garlic which I can't eat . So I had a huge plate of veg and a yorkie. Absolutely delicious. Mid week on a Wednesday!
Very attentive staff, nice surroundings, a good choice of ales. We went for the Thursday steak night, steak cooked perfectly, good portions and well worth the money, we will definitely be going back.
When we first found this pub the carvery was banging. Everything was lovely and hot & the roast potatoes were nice and crispy cooked to perfection. Our 2nd visit was not as pleasant as the spuds were not as great as the first time and service was a bit slow. We thought we would hit it one more time thinking as the 1st time was superb maybe the 2nd visit was just a chef blip. Well I'm sorry to say that the 3rd visit was our final visit. The meats were cold, the veg had been sitting in the same spot under the heat for too long without being ruffled. The spuds were under cooked and the only way to warm up the meal was to drown it in gravy. I'm afraid we gave this carvery enough chances and it just can't perform in a consistent manner with the presentation of food so we won't be visiting again even though I did enjoy a lovely pint of Harveys.
We came to the Rose Revived for my brothers birthday meal, hoping for a friendly pub welcome along with a tasty lunch. Not asking for too much. To say we left disappointed is an understatement, the staff were not welcoming, the lad behind the bar seemed as though he was still in training and was not sure how a busy Sunday pub runs. We saw what we assumed was a manager just wondering around, whilst the rest of the staff were running round like headless chickens. The chef on the carvary delightfully told us he was dealing with both the carvary and restaurant orders, with no assistance. Personally, will not be recommending this pub to anyone who is looking to enjoy a Sunday roast.
Vintage country pub food excellence. Set in the beautiful countryside setting of Hadlow The Rose Revived brings high end pub grub. The familiar traditional English food offerings on its menu dishes are carefully prepared. Service is caring, accurate yet still down to earth. What sets The Rose Revived apart from other pubs is its interior. It is an interior design tour de force, modern, comfy yet still retains its traditional character. It is a large zonal space, an area catering for drinking class, the casual eater and the carvery goer. It is bright and warm, the concept of bring nature indoors is adopted in many of the interior cues. Price wise, it is spot on.
3 of us went for lunch at this restaurant we had booked a table for 1:45pm. The place was not busy 8-10 people tops. I ordered a starter of BBQ chicken wings very tasty, my wife and brother in law ordered mains of fish chips and peas, I had the classic burger with cheese and chips. We enjoyed our meals my burger was a bit dry but ok. My wife and brother in law had desserts my wife had chocolate orange torte my brother in law had 3 scoops of ice cream. We had a couple of different drinks and a bottle of water. £69 plus tip. Reasonable meal but not brilliant will give it another try at a later date. We also got to see a helicopter take off from the field behind the restaurant. Staff friendly and helpful.
