Perfectly located near Leigh station for a relax, when you've missed the once an hour train. Seems like a nice, cosy, friendly place. Quite unlike many oversized, corporate Greene King pubs. Lovely!
Disappointed... Whilst the setting is beautiful and staff are attentive, the food wasn't great, we only had the "bar menu" but as a chef, the food left a lot to be desired, no chips which I found peculiar, the burger was OK but the salsa was vinegary and not needed in my opinion, the pork balls were awful, just fat inside and no pork, the vegan burger dry and too many chick peas, it's simple stuff and easy to correct.
A quite little country pub. The staff were super friendly. Had a couple of good IPAs and a great conversation with the bar staff. Awesome visit.
Not much atmosphere but okay for a drink or 2. Busy Friday lunchtime in a small village may be testament to a good food menu.
The village has waited with baited breath for months for the Fleur to re-open following change of management in late 2021: and today we were not disappointed. Good selection of draught beers inc. Punk/Camden/Beavertown Neck Oil and 3 ales would be good to see more local guest ales over time. Food pricey but very good. Decor much improved. Welcome back!!
A fab little pub and nice to sit outside for a drink after a nice walk.
New publican and the 4th in as many years. So far very friendly service and looks like they are going to make a good effort. Fingers crossed for them.
Great service and drinks, pity there wasn't even a packet of crisps
New young, friendly and enthusiastic management team. Wishing them the best of luck in keeping this gem of a local pub up and running.
