Friendly welcome and a warm fire. Dog friendly. OK beer selection. Nice food platters (if a little small). Runs games nights on a Sunday!

A pub with an alpine theme in a market town in Cheshire, you say? Well, actually, yes. It is best in the winter half of the year (which, let's face it, lasts about 9 months here) because they will have open fires and all. Also: regular live music (and not the forgettable kind either). And interesting beers on tap. Absolutely worth a visit.

Cosy casual bar with log fires and live music. The whisky tasting nights are especially good with a knowledgeable host and tasty food.

A ramshackle delight of a bar where smiling staff serve good coffee by day and good beers by night.

Basic/rustic probably describes this place best. Good selection of craft beers. Extra seating upstairs where musicians do their thing. Toilets are "hidden" up stairs too. Don't leave it until the last minute if you need to use them otherwise you may wet yourself before someone can see your distress and point you in the right direction.
