Nice location next to quarry bank mill. The Sunday roast was enjoyable with friendly serving staff. We parked in the car park, walked around mill with children followed by good Sunday roast.

Quality Sunday lunch, very tasty food with high quality ingredients. Staff very attentive and nothing too much trouble. Highly recommended but don't forget to book as it is very popular.

Was seeing a friend in the area with my family (2 kids) so thought why not pop in for lunch while we are at it. Place was very busy but we were somehow seated very quickly. I had the pork loin roast and the wife had the ship burrito (think roast dinner wrapped in a Yorkshire) excellent food, really enjoyed it. And also the best fat steak chips you'll taste. Fast friendly service and a pleasant atmosphere. Good range of beers on offer. The whole family enjoyed themselves. Will visit again next time we are up this way.

Great food and a good selection of drinks. The Sunday roast is particularly good although it can be tricky to get a table unless you book in advance. The bathrooms are located upstairs which can be tricky with small children as stairs can be steep. Not certain about disabled bathroom so best to check with staff. The price is ok but is in a higher price area so expected to be a little high. The staff are very helpful and friendly.

Very nice olde world pub. Food good , but mash could have been warmer. Very good choice of beers and lager.
