Went for a socially distanced Christmas lunch with friends. Had to sit outside as there were six of us. The food was ok, not the worst & not the best. The outdoor seating area was enclosed but absolutely freezing cold. I had to go straight home and take a hot bath to thaw out after my meal.
Had been meaning to visit this place for a while now. We eventually booked it for today. I wasn't disappointed at all. Friendly staff, and a great choice of food, which when it came, was well presented and full of taste. Nice ambient atmosphere in there too. Would highly recommend and will be going back in the future.
Had a lovely family meal. Brilliant service lovely food and not to expensive
Pint wasnt upto scratch. Had a couple in the anchor before and could really tell the difference in quality. The chair i was sat was also uncomfortable. The scouse was nice though.
First time visited since lockdown, the pub is well organised, the main building caters for food and all the tables well distanced. There is a marquee type tent in the beer garden where you can sit out and drink, traditional pub food which is nice and well priced.
Brilliant food. Prices very good at the moment. Good beer. Helpful staff
