An absolutely fantastic meal, we stopped on the way through for a bite to eat, and were not disappointed. Greeted by the friendliest staff on planet earth, only a very brief wait for our meals to be served, freshly cooked and were very tasty. the chef brought us some samples on sausage that he had freshly made that day, they were that nice we asked if they sold them to take home, which they did so we took two bags back home. the meals were fantastic. the staff were wonderful. the price, well the price blew me away, very very reasonable. will definitely be going again in the very near future. thank you and i wish you every success

An absolute amazing place for food. I've never heard anyone be negative! If they were then there would be something wrong. You get more than your money's worth and never wall away hungry. Staff are all so pleasant too.

Is there a need to reinvent the carvery? Nope, and the Ship Inn doesn't even try. Loads of wonderfully cooked meat with a good selection of veg and a dessert which was free on the day we went - all from £6.95. Didn't have to book although it did start getting busy later on. Friendly and efficient staff.

Just had lunch there and it was delicious. Carvery £12 for 2. There is daily specials £12 for 2 also. Plus an A la carte menu. Very friendly atmosphere. Will certainly be going again.

Good quality food, can recommend the chicken and leek pie. Value for money carvery. Cheerful, pleasant staff. Real ales.
