Went for dinner here last night. We had fish stew & lemon sole, both were very lovely. Lovely pub, atmosphere & staff. Would return

This is a really nice pub, whatever the weather, in the winter it's cosy, and in the summer a perfect place for a cold beer or wine. Can be very busy on a sunny day, but worth the visit for the lovely scenery.

Absolute joke. Ordered two burgers at £15 a pop, first one arrives with burnt black bacon so i asked for some not burnt. After a long wait i was presented with under cooked bacon and cold grated cheese plonked on top. My colleagues burger was dry, and tasted like corn beef. Overpriced and under performing, just because you have a good location does not mean you can get away with high prices and low standards.

Went Christmas Day for dinner. Service and atmosphere were good. Food on the other hand was not so great. Starters and the fish main were good, however the Turkey dinners were below par at best. The potatoes were hard and one of the three on my plate was inedible. The sprouts were so hard they were also inedible. The turkey resembled sliced deli counter bought from a supermarket, also the desserts also seemed shop bought. Really below par for £75 per head. So much so we’ve already planned next Christmas at home.

Nice, homely restaurant and lovely Fish and Chips. Great views over the harbour. We go here fairly regularly for business lunches and it's a nice place to introduce new colleagues.
