Beautifully decorated for Christmas, large menu to choose from. Food was nice and fresh and reasonably priced. Cakes and ice cream look amazing. Staff vey helpful and polite. Large free car park. Our second visit from Brighton. Will visit soon again.
Not really a restaurant to be honest, may aswell of been self service. Food below average and tables dirty. Plates never collected, even twenty minutes after finishing meals. Staff non existent, didn't bother with desert as table was still full of dirty plates. Was maybe half decent when ut was first opened, but now even a witherspoon is better quality and service. All in all, a disappointment.
Amazing place. They were really inviting. Booked a table and arrived earlier than expected and we were sent through with ease. My dad who's recovering from a stroke needed extra space for his mobility and our needs were met and exceeded our expectations. Myself being autistic, felt comfortable interacting.nnIt was my dad's first time out for dinner since his stroke and he felt super comfortable. The staff were lovely and most importantly loved his food!!nnI just want to say thank you for the service you provided.
There WASN'T any atmosphere : it was very dull. Choice of vegetables was quite limited compared to other carveries, but I was pleased to see parsnips included. Those, and the broccoli & carrots were nicely cooked and tasty. I tried the cauliflower wings for the first time, & those, too, were very good. Gammon was tasteless but turkey very tender & had good flavour, although it was a bit pink - looking. Yorkshire pudding tasted alright but was quite leathery. Nice gravy & proper mustard. The mini roast potatoes had a pleasant taste & lovely texture, but the larger ones were definitely mediocre, & the mashed potato extremely bland & stodgy. However, the whole meal was a disappointment because it was almost COLD. We had ice cream for dessert, & I highly recommend it, but I would have appreciated a cornet or a wafer with it. Most staff were polite & helpful, but the two young men on the carvery, far from it. Belligerent, & really argumentative. One of them, when I pointed out that the plate, on which he was about to serve my meal, was not clean, removed it, but then began to use the second plate, oblivious to the fact that that one was even dirtier ! When I mentioned this, he was clearly resentful, angrily removing that one, & about ten others besides, crashing them onto the counter as he did so. He was not even working under any pressure, as nobody else was waiting to be served, but the routine questions, about which meat I would like, etc., were put to me in a really impatient tone, the meat & Yorkshire pudding flung onto my plate at breakneck speed & the plate then shoved into my hand in a most aggressive manner. The menu was covered in something sticky that looked like jam. And, even after we had each been to use the toilet, & had ordered & eaten our desserts, our used dinner plates still remained on the table, where they were left till we were actually on our way out of the restaurant. This was my first visit to the Langbrook Farm Inn, & I very much doubt I'll be making a second one.
The food flavours were good however the food itself was very cold! Didn't complain even though we probably should have said something. We had the kids eat free deal which was a good deal. So a little disappointed but hasn't put us off. Will visit again but speak up next time if the same, as never had that happen in the past. Bit surprised peas were not part of the veg option on the carvery, my daughter only eats peas so had no veg at all! It was very busy but seemed understaffed so tables took quite some time to be cleared in all areas. My review is only based on this particular visit as previous visits have been fine.
