Situated right next to the estuary with view across to Wales. Barrier controlled ample well lit car park. There are about 35 rooms. The single i had was clean well planned big enough ( not usual broom cupboard at the back single ). Food was tasty well served by happy staff. The ship also has plenty of space to perform its role as a pub with atmosphere and locals. A very pleasant place to stay. Price is acceptable for this quality. I would happily visit again. No cash machine in town, or cash back.

Arranged 2 group dine-ins there recently and food is at the top end of good. Real ale can be variable but the bar invariably has a good atmosphere. Service has ranged between average and iffy. On one occasion I couldn't get staff to take a drinks order and found they were all congregated in Reception looking at their mobile phones. The coordination between staff is poor. I agreed arrangements with one member of staff and requirements were not passed on. Be warned on this point, you might have to keep reminding them for it to be right when you arrive. With improved management it could be really good.

Rang up at 1855hrs requested a table for 2 ASAP Table booked, arrived 10 minutes later. Staff lovely/helpful/attentive. Food great! New girl waiting on is fabulous. What a good team ! Thank you we had a lovely impromptu evening meal 😀

Excellent. Good food and a delightful room overlooking the estuary. We arrived around 5.00pm on the first warm, sunny Sunday this year and it was heaving! Glad we'd booked dinner. Will definitely return.

First time going, was busy but staff were managing it well. Good drinks on tap and the food was great. If busy expect a little wait to be seated if you didnt book, but staff will do there best to get you seated soon as.
