Went in last weekend, had a few really tasty pints with friends, service was great and was just a really cool setting, will go againService: 5/5
Had Bangers & Mash but unfortunately the sausages were not freshly cooked and obviously reheated as sausages were hard at the end and skin very tough. Sent it back and came back freshly done and enjoyable.Food: 3/5
Nice bar in the centre. Busy during game day. Good service, but it would benefit from a few more tables to the ground floor.Service: 5/5
Edit: feel I have to update this as I went again to try some of the food options for lunch. I had to ask through 4 different bits of food which they either didn’t have or didn’t do on the weekends…. I understand the place is busy but i thought going through 4 different options at the weekend was a bit ridiculous. ———————————— Had food and a few pints at the Sawyers Arms. Personally I would’ve given 2.5 stars but the below is a bit out of the control of the pub so I’ll give 3. It is a lovely looking bar and good location in Manchester. I booked because they had Game Suet pudding one of my favourites and a lentil vegetable cottage pie that I had noticed on the menus previously. Two things me and my girlfriend really enjoy. When I went to order both of these the server told me they were both out… really disappointing as this was literally the reason I booked. My girlfriend has the fish and chips really good and I had the “award winning” steak and ale pie. The pie I thought was really average and tasted pretty boring. Fish was good but portion was far too big. Value for money it is really good, especially for the city centre. But I was definitely expecting more, plus also looking forward to the two dishes that were out of stock didn’t help the experience much. Overall not terrible!
Lovely cold beer here on one of the hottest days of the year so far, recommended.Food: 5/5
Another really cool, beautiful English pub and restaurant. I ate another English classic, bangers and mash, and it did not disappoint. The sausage had a nice casing with a great snap, and the mash potatoes were very light. I also drank Nicholsons pale ale ! Great meal, and a great time with a loud football match on the telly!
Nice pub, just had a quick pint to relax and I enjoyed it.Service: 4/5
Lovely little pub, with very good positioned screens to watch the game. But the food value for money is not worth it.Food: 3/5
Great offer- Spend £50 on drinks and get £30 off your bill ! We had 2 bottles of Picpoul de Pinet at £26.50 a bottle and 2 Negroni cocktails to start with. The bill came to £42, instead of £72 Food: 5/5
One of my favourite pubs in my favourite city. Beautiful from the in- and outside, fair prices, a great atmosphere and friendly staff.Food: 5/5
