Story

The Sandpiper is a fantastic pub with a great value 2 for 1 menu. The outside children’s play area and sunny patio make a great place to eat or drink when the sun is shining, the inside is warm and comfortable when it's not so nice outside.

Join us on Sunday for a roast dinner with all the trimmings, 2 and 2 puddings for just £15.

Tuesday night is Quiz night with Paul, free to take part and you could win a gallon of beer.

Wednesday nights from 5pm is curry night, choose two authentic curries and two drinks for just £11.

The best thing about this place is that everything or more or less everything is two for one. My large family and I visited the Sandpiper on a very hot Sunday in May and the staff coped very well with the amount of people within the restaurant and bar area so well done to them. However because it is a two for one please do not expect fine dining the food portions are relatively small and a couple of my family members and I ordered the steaks this being the 10 ounce and steak Americano. Unfortunately the steaks wasn't the best although cooked correctly the actual steak was a very fatty and very difficult to chew. The bar do sell cocktails apparently were very nice but at £8 a glass not the cheapest in the area. They do not sell Coca-Cola however they do supply Pepsi which are free refills. So all in all a very average two for one public house that once you've tried you're probably want to try somewhere else.

Hubby and I had the Sunday roasts. I had the trio of lamb chops and hubby had the pork belly. Both were absolutely delicious! The pudding was lush too! Will definitely be back!

Very comfortable nicely spaced out seating. Staff very helpful. Food very nice. Been lots of times had lots of celebrations here. It's just 65 miles from home but well worth it to meet family and friends from Hull.

The food itself was pub food but the quality and the variety were superb. Lots of choice and a large 2 for 1 specials board. Few staff on hand and had to order at the bar. Overall very enjoyable and some interesting meals. I had a burger with a wheel of chorizo in it. Great stuff!

We have been here a few times now. The food is of a good quality and the service is very good as well. We will use The Sandpiper again when we are back in the area.
